Marta & Lachlan

At the start of July, Marta & Lachlan tied the knot at Balbirnie House at Scotland. The two chose to get married in Scotland, flying themselves and their guests over from where they live in Australia because this is where Lachlan is from. They celebrated Lachlan’s heritage by having a bagpiper play throughout the day as well as himself and the groomsmen dressed in kilts. From Marta’s Croatian heritage, they guests passed around a flask filled with cherry brandy handmade by Marta’s uncle in their home village. As well as these beautiful elements, they also had three flags at the entrance to Balbirnie House, one the Croatian flag, one Scottish flag and one Australian flag. They started the day with a first look, just the two of them before the ceremony, and it was such a special moment to capture. There’s no denying the connection these two have for each other. The rest of the day was filled with unmatched vibes from the couple and their guests as they celebrated current and traditional Croatian music.
